Former Mutants: the Mutations A.P.A. community
For the first time in ten years, I'm going to Comic-Con. "Why?" you ask. One reason: The 3rd annual Comic-Con Film School.
You see, my friend Ed and I (no, not Ed Macdonald, former Mutant, but childhood friend Ed Verso) had bandied about the idea of making a web-based "TV series" based around some superhero characters we'd created as teens. Unfortunately, neither of us really knew what to do to make something like that. So it got shelved.
Then, a couple of months ago, I spied a Comic-Con Update and started to glance through it--and saw the article on the Comic-Con Film School. Right then and there, I decided I had to go. Maybe Ed and I could do our project after all. At the very least, I'll be able to satisfy myself that it can or cannot be done.
So I'm going. The Comic-Con Film School is 10:30 to 12:00 each day, and I'll be hitting a few related panels, also, such as Animation on a $hoestring Budget on Thursday at 3:30 and Introducing Animation Mentor at noon on Friday. And for S&Gs, I'll probably sit in on a couple of Living Greyhawk games, too.
